Our Philosophy

I was born in Las Vegas, NV 28 years ago at Sunrise hospital the morning of September 27, 1981. I have since been raised in this incredible city and am proud to call it home. During my childhood I had the pleasure of being brought up around what Vegas was built on, the casino business. My grandfather Andrew Zorne was the sole president to a handful of landmark hotel casinos on the Strip, such as the Mint, Hacienda and Park Place. Because of that, I saw how Vegas worked, from precise management to customer service to wait staff. Las Vegas was the place you came too and everyone from the doormen to the President knew your name, drink, appetite, etc. You didn’t have to ask for anything, it was all provided for you because of the relationships that were created and cared about, you felt like you were the only person in the place, and that was the case for everyone, not just the big “players”. When you left you knew you were only going back to that establishment, even though there were numerous options, but because of the experience that was provided to you from all that were involved, it was one of a kind. My other grandfather Lou Godino owned and operated the Town Lounge in Rockford, IL for ___ years. It was known as the local hang out that hosted local and big named bands to entertain the town. Again, on a smaller scale it was his management and customer service that provided his patrons the experience they desired and deserved which kept them coming back. His attitude and dedication to pleasing his patrons day and night over and over again was a testament to the great success and reputation him and his bar had. Born and Raised has been created to translate what I have seen, learned and frankly, been born with. I want to create the “place to be” because of customer service, friendly faces and a great atmosphere and experience provided. Over the course of Las Vegas’ existence it has turned into a corporate run, Wall Street driven business that is all about the bottom line, which has even spilled over into the neighborhood and local bars. With the team I have assembled and my local experience and vision, this place will allow us to create something Las Vegas natives and residences can relate too.
