A horse walks into a bar, and the bartender asks, “Why the long face?”
We’ve all heard the joke, but now close to 50 Las Vegas locals, can say they have seen it and many even have the pictures to prove it.
En route to Houston Texas for Super Bowl 51, as the New England Patriots take on the Atlanta Falcons, Prince One – Budweiser’s lead Clydesdale and his Dalmatian, April, made a pit stop in Southwest Las Vegas at Born And Raised®, a local restaurant and sports bar.
At almost 2000 pounds and 7 feet tall, Prince the Clydesdale was hard to miss when you walked through the door. And most patrons didn’t miss an opportunity to snap a picture of themselves with the celebrity guest.
Bar patron George Derabpard said this was the first time he saw a horse in a bar, but he did tell The Now Report, ”I saw an elephant in a hotel lobby one time, but not a horse.”
Derabpard, snow birding in Las Vegas from Canada, is a Budweiser advocate. Then again, he said he’s a fan of anything Belgian.
“For 18 years I was the honorary council of Belgium in Alberta, Canada,” he said, “and when I get home, I am going to put it (referring to the picture of him and Prince) on Facebook and let the world know how great it is .”
